Congratulations to Apollo Technology, a subsidiary of Veolia Taiwan, for winning two awards at the 1st Green Sustainable Resilient Remediation (GSRR) International Forum and Awards Ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Environment of Taiwan on November 8th.
Apollo Technology received recognition for its professional technical capabilities and performance during the remediation of the Hsinchu Oil Distribution Center and the Taichung Oil Distribution Center of the Taiwan CPC Corporation. They have successfully remediated 43,200 tons of oil-contaminated soil at the Hsinchu Oil Distribution Center within two years, by using accurate investigation, enhanced bioremediation and in-situ groundwater remediation system. The optimized operation of the whole remediation project reduced carbon emissions by 848 tons.
At the CPC Taichung Oil Distribution Center, Apollo Technology achieved tangible benefits in reducing carbon emissions by utilizing various remediation measures, including low-energy equipment, automation of in-situ groundwater remediation systems, and solar power supply.
After the remediation, the land will be redeveloped into a smart technical park in cooperation with local authorities, which will generate greater industrial output and more employment opportunities.
