Project Background
Since 2004, the Ministry of Environment has been conducting soil and groundwater pollution investigation and management projects for industry. It selects and evaluates pollution potential based on business categories to monitor soil and water quality. Starting in 2023, the Ministry launched the "Soil and Water Grouped Prevention Management Policy" to expand regulatory oversight and promote business-led preventive management, aiming to prevent soil and water pollution at source.
Project Purposes
The project has several purposes: setting up management policies to prevent soil and groundwater contamination; developing procedures for soil and groundwater investigation and preventive management; assisting various departmental levels to establish supervision mechanisms; promoting the concept of self-prevention management to all types of industries, and cooperatively implementing pollution prevention.
Remediation Approach
Since 2004, ApolloTech has been actively involved with the Ministry of Environment on environmental projects, conducting site assessments for high-pollution-potential industries. Our work includes on-site inspections and environmental assessments (Phase I), verification of pollution investigations (Phase II), and the promotion of preventive management practices. We have conducted investigations at more than 230 factories, including metal product manufacturing, chemical production, electronic component manufacturing, automotive and auto parts manufacturing, as well as waste removal, treatment, and recycling. By supporting both regulatory authorities and industry in management transformation, we help foster a culture of autonomous preventive management, equipping industry with the necessary knowledge and skills to safeguard environmental quality.
